Up and down Britain great tasting food is being produced by devoted farmers, passionate chefs, small-scale growers and creative artisans – and as barbecue enthusiasts we love nothing better than to enjoy it! The Camping and Caravanning Club’s Eat Local campaign is about celebrating and supporting these people and businesses, and helping identify what to buy and how to cook it.
In this campaign The Camping and Caravanning Club’s Ali Ray heads to their campsites up and down the country visiting local butchers and fishmongers to find the best cuts of meat and fish, and then demonstrates how to cook them on the barbecue.
Buying locally is important as it supports our rural communities, ensures farm shops and market places are bustling and keeps British customs and traditions alive. Plus you know that the food you are buying is fresh and are reassured of exactly where is has come from.
