Spanish Chorizo

The Spanish national sausage is Chorizo, traditionally crafted using pork fat, paprika, black pepper and red wine to deliver an authentic taste of Spain. The nation will be hoping that the sausage causes a stir in the stands! Spanish Chorizo can be sweet or spicy and the tell-tale sign is in the size of the sausage! Long, thin chorizo's are usually sweet, whereas the short chorizo's are more spicy, really packing a punch! Whether sweet or spicy, the sausage has a rich, smoky flavour and is usually thinly sliced. BBQ for the best mediterranean flavour!

How to BBQ Spanish Chorizo

Follow the instructions below to achieve the perfect authentic taste.

What you'll need:

  • Spanish Chorizo sausage
  • Rice

Method

  1. Prepare your BBQ and heat to a medium to high temperature level.
  2. Place your Spanish Chorizo sausages on the grill and allow to cook for 10 to 15 minutes, turning regularly throughout.
  3. Once piping hot right through, remove from the grill, slice up and serve with a generous helping of rice.
